Post Is it Spring yet??
This weekend it is meant to get as warm as 50F! Could this finally be the end of winter?? I hope so as we have a ride out planned tomorrow and I want to use my new set of wheels...

I really like the Supermotard concept using a motocross bike with street tires. Unfortunately here in south Texas I can’t find a cheap on/offroad bike, anything that can somewhat move under its own power goes for well over $1000.

Spring is definitely here... has been raining a lot! ;)

We did get a few sunny days this week in the low 70's!

Spring came to the Pacific Northwest about a month early according to the cherry trees and the daffies. Been riding all along except in the rain. We had snow showers earlier this week and it is still snowing in the mountains which the forest and the water managers just love.

It quit raining so I rode to work this afternoon. If it starts raining again later it will be a case of at least half of the ride was dry.

We made it out yesterday for the first breakfast ride of the year and apart from some cold fingers it wasn't too bad. As some of you probably know I have been riding all year round on my Honda but when you are off road as well as on, you just do not feel the cold as much! I was on the Suzuki but there were quite a few Harleys out as well as various other types of bikes. Took a few photos but unless my webspace starts behaving you will have to settle with this one of my buddy Joe. He has spent all winter stripping is Bob and painting everything black. It looks amazing.

It is hard to get a good one that hasn't been abused as well. There are a few makes I can recommend but I am guessing, due to import, they will probably be rather expensive in the States. KTM are serious bikes but have serious maintenance associated as well with pistons being changed at 100 hours! However CCM (British make) produce a 404 which is basically a DRZ enduro engine which extra tuning within their own chassis. They usually come with a set of both road and off road wheels too which is very handy. I will always recommend a good Honda though, even an older twin shock one as they are 100% bulletproof and very easy to work on.
